The relationship between temperature accumulations and pheromone trap captu
res of the males of Lobesia botrana (Den. & Schiff.) (Lep., Tortricidae) in
the Sherry vineyards (SW of Spain) presents a statistically acceptable lin
ear behaviour through conveniently transforming the variables. Data series
ranging from 1990 to 1995 were used to compute the linear correlations. The
reliability of the forecasts based on the resulting log-probit lines have
shown to be acceptable in older to be considered as an useful tool to impro
ve the effectiveness of the integrated pest management in the area.
