Leclercia adecarboxylata was isolated from a patient with a chronically inf
lamed gallbladder, together with Enterococcus sp. The organism was consider
ed clinically significant and was susceptible to all antibiotics tested. An
other strain of L. adecarboxylata was cultured from blood, together with Es
cherichia hermannii and E.faccalis, from a patient with sepsis.
