Abstract
The concept of a fractal dimension that characterises the nonlinear growth of very intricate dynamics of biological, chemical, and physical systems wa s utilized to model an old empire as a social system. The fractal concept h as been applied to model the growth of the Ottoman Empire. It was shown tha t her growth has a fractal dimension equal to golden number.
