On the partial derivative-problem and integrable equations

Using the partial derivative -problem and dual partial derivative -problem, we derive bilinear relations which allow us to construct integrable hierar chies in different parametrizations, their Darboux-Backlund transformations and to analyse constraints for them in a very simple way. Scalar KP, BKP a nd CKP hierarchies are considered as examples.
