Abstract
Recent developments in the synthesis of heterogeneous catalytic supports ar
e reported. In combination with grafting and precipitation polymerization t
echniques, ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) has been applied t
o the synthesis of surface-functionalized inorganic and organic supports. A
pplications of these well-defined heterogeneous catalytic supports in C-C c
oupling reactions (Heck couplings) as well as in atom-transfer radical poly
merization (ATRP) are reported.
