Abstract
A new C-2-symmetric chiral lariat ether has been prepared by 1:1 cycloconde nsation of a contrafunctional amine easily obtained from L-serine, Its H-1 and C-13 spectra were completely assigned using the two-dimensional gradien t enhanced one-bond (HMQC) and multiple-bond (HMBC) heteronuclear technique s together with the homonuclear DQF COSY correlation technique.
