Abstract
Based on abundant material collected in Sierra Nevada (Andalucia, Spain) an d the study of type material, the authors conclude that Russula laccata Hui jsman and R. norvegica Reid belong to the same species. Taxonomic comments about the variability of some characters are made. Microphotographs made un der the S.E.M. of the spores of both taxa are given for comparison.
