Abstract
The type specimens of Tremella australiensis. T. brasiliensis, T. coalescen s. T. microspora, as well as T. samoensis were restudied. Detailed illustra tions and descriptions are presented and the taxonomic status of the specie s is discussed. Tremella australiensis is proposed to be synonym of T. spec tabilis, while T. samoensis is considered synonym of T. cinnabarina. Mycopa rasitism of T. microspora on Stereum-like fungi is described for the first time.
