Abstract
A new monotypic genus, Parahaplotrichum, is established based upon a collec tion made some eighty-one years ago on decorticated wood in Idaho, housed i n the U.S. National Fungus Collections, but originally misidentified as Oos pora fulva [= Haplotrichum dubium]. It is described and illustrated.
