Abstract
A new method for separation of primary electrons and protons based on the d ifference in evaporated-neutron yield is proposed to investigate the primar y electrons at E-e > 1 TeV with a total rejection factor of similar to 10(- 5) - 10(-6). A new approach to measure the energy of primary nuclei by anal yzing the neutron yield in cascades is proposed to investigate primary cosm ic rays in the "knee" range.
