Abstract
Incomplete information on overburden rock composition is the source of syst ematic error arising in underground muon experiments. As was shown in our p revious works this problem requires a probabilistical approach, namely the introduction of a statistical ensemble of media which includes all possible medium realizations. As an example of such an ensemble we proposed the Mar kov two-phase model of random medium and applied it to the KGF ground. In t his paper we continue the discussion of this problem and consider further p ossibilities of application of this model for estimating the influence of g round properties uncertainties on experimental results.
