Two photon physics at LEP

A review of the experimental results on two photon collisions at LEP is giv en. The total cross section for gamma gamma --> hadrons is measured for two -photon centre-of-mass energies up to 145 GeV. The QCD predictions are test ed with measurements of the cross section for deep inelastic electron photo n scattering tin terms of photon structure function), of total hadronic cro ss section for virtual gamma*gamma* collisions, and in collisions of quasi- real photons with jet, inclusive particle and heavy flavour (c (c) over bar and b (b) over bar) production. Resonance formation in gamma gamma collisi ons and its connection to glueball searches is also discussed.
