We discuss predictions for the interaction energy of the fundamental monopo
les in gluodynamics. The interaction energy is defined, as usual, in terms
of the 't Hooft loop. At short distances, the potential is calculable start
ing from first principles. At larger distances, we apply the Abelian domina
nce models. Non-zero temperatures are also discussed. The predictions turn
to be in reasonable agreement with the existing data, in cases when the com
parison is possible.
