We present a cellular automaton-based computational model for the simulatio
n of significant dynamic properties of carbon black-filled rubber compounds
. The goal is to devise a tool that enables the parallel processing simulat
ion and the analysis of compounds behaviour at different carbon black value
s of loading and dispersion. In order to model a significant slice of a rea
l sample, a very high level of computational resources is required, hence t
he need for massive parallel computers and techniques. Finally, performance
