Abstract
We report 10 prepubertal girls with sporotrichosis who were misdiagnosed be cause they had solitary ulcerative skin nodules, rather than a "sporotricho id" pattern of multiple linear nodules. All had positive cultures for Sporo thrix schenchii. We urge clinicians to consider sporotrichosis in the diffe rential diagnosis of a solitary skin nodule.
