Abstract
We study carrier dynamics in a single semiconductor quantum dot, embedded i n a complex barrier environment constituted by a system of interconnected n anostructures. Capture from one-dimensional reservoirs is found to dominate carrier dynamics. In the high excitation power regime, we find that state filling effects are affected by the energetic configuration of the barrier nanostructures.
