Inclusive electromagnetic reactions in few-nucleon systems are studied base
d on accurate three- and four-body calculations. The longitudinal He-4(e, e
') response function in the q range of 300-600 MeV/c; the He-4 spectral fun
ction; the corresponding quasielastic He-4(e, e') response; and the total p
hotoabsorption cross sections of H-3, He-3, and He-4 are considered. Descri
ptions of the continuum, the role of final-state interactions, sensitivity
to nuclear dynamics, and effects of NNN forces are discussed. (C) 2001 MAIK
