Abstract
The spectral shift of the solvated electron in MeOH/C2H6 mixture has been s tudied using pulse radiolysis. The spectral shift can be explained in terms of the size of methanol clusters formed in the solution. With increasing t emperature at constant mole fraction of MeOH, the spectral maximum shifts t owards lower energy. The width at led side increased with increasing temper ature, however, there is no significant changes in the blue side of the spe ctra with temperature. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
