Abstract
Anthracene-1,4,9,10-tetraol was reacted with amides, amidoesters, and other derivatives of phosphorous acid to obtain first representatives of bicyclo phosphites in whose molecules the anthracene system is fused with 1,3,2-dio xaphosphorinane. The structure of the products was examined by NMR and X-ra y diffraction.
