Abstract
Ozonolysis of 2,3,4,4-pentafluoro-1-methoxycyclobutene in Freon-113 leads t o formation of cyclic products containing eight fluorine atoms. Ozonolysis of the same compound in Freon-113 in the presence of alcohols yields the co rresponding alkyl methyl perfluorosuccinate.
