The ion exchange equilibrium of cobalt, nickel and copper metal ions/H+ sys
tem were studied on Titanium(IV) antimonate in aqueous media at 30, 40 and
60 degreesC. On the basis of particle diffusion control different physical
parameters e.g. the effective diffusion coefficients, activation energy and
entropy of activation have been evaluated. Capacity measurements and titra
tion curves have been determined. The obtained data were compared to those
organic resin and inorganic ion exchangers. The influence of coordination n
umber and the cation structure on the exchange mechanism have been studied
on the light of the thermodynamic properties.
