The purpose of this paper is to give the direct and inverse theorem for poi
ntwise approximation by Bernstein type operators. We use K-functional and w
(phi lambda)(2), (f, t)(0 less than or equal to lambda less than or equal t
o 1) to extend the results of D. Zhou [1].
