Abstract
Acetonide was selectively and efficiently cleaved with cerium (III) chlorid
e heptahydrate and oxalic acid in acetonitrile. This method was found to be
of good functionalities compatibility with such acid sensitive groups as T
r, PMB, TBDMS, TBDPS, OAc, OBz, OTs, OTf.
