Abstract
Bis(trimethylsilyl) amides of the type Ln[N(TMS)(2)](3) have been found to be competent catalysts for representative intramolecular alkene hydroaminat ions. The catalytic cyclization of an aminodiene proceeds in a stepwise man ner to provide the corresponding monocycle and bicycle in a highly stereoco ntrolled manner. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
