This work is devoted to the Coulomb excitation of Ho-165. Experiments were
performed at the Heavy Ion Laboratory of Warsaw University. A model-indepen
dent analysis using tile GOSIA code yielded a set of reduced matrix element
s values coupling the low-lying collective excited states. A quadrupole sum
rules approach was used to determine the deformation of the states. A rema
rkable change of quadrupole moment in one of the gamma -vibrational bands w
as found.
