Two new diterpenoid glucosides, auriculatosides A and B, one new sesqu
iterpenoid glucoside, auriculatoside C, as well as two known compounds
, 3 beta-hydroxy-4(15), 10(14),11(13)-guaiatrien-12,6-olide-8 alpha-O-
beta-D-glucopyranoside and gentiopicroside were isolated from roots of
Aster auriculatus. On the basis of spectral evidence, auriculatosides
A, B and C were identified as pimar-15(16)-beta-ene-8 beta,11 beta,20
-triol-7 beta-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside, pimar-15(16)-beta-ene-8 beta,1
1 alpha-diol-20-(3-hydroxy-3-methyl)-butanoyl-7 beta-O-beta-D-glucopyr
anoside and 3 beta-hydroxy-4(15), 10(14), 11(13)-guaiatrien-12,6-olide
-8 alpha-O-beta-D-(6'-O-formyl)-glucopyranoside, respectively. (C) 199
