Abstract
The synthesis of a methacrylated D-galactopyranose monomer is described; it s copolymerisation reaction with ethyl acrylate using a radical initiator i s also discussed; the copolymer obtained has an average molar mass lower th an 10 000 g/mol; this and other physicochemical properties of this copolyme r are presented.
