Abstract
Four phenolic components are isolated from the CHCl3 extract of Empetrum ni grum L. Three of them are known from this plant. The fourth (6, 8-dimethylp inocembrine) is isolated om crowberry for the first time. The previously pr oposed structure for 2'-methoxy-4'-hydroxy-alpha,beta -dihydrochalcone is c onfirmed by x-ray structure analysis.
