The known ecdysteroids 2-dehydroxyecdysone, 2-dehydroxyecdysterone, ecdyste rone -22-O-benzoate, ecdysterone, integristerone A, and a sew ecdysteroid i dentified as 2-dehydroxyecdysterone-3-O-benzoate ai-e isolated from roots o f Silene wallichiana Klotzsch.
