Abstract
The transverse momentum and transverse mass distributions of negative hadro ns and protons produced in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions are studi ed by a multisource ideal gas model. The calculated results are compared an d found to be in good agreement with the NA49 experimental data of central Pb-Pb collisions at 158A GeV.
