Abstract
By applying a new assumption of density, i.e. R(2)rho = const, the continui ty equation is satisfied to the order of epsilon (2) with E being the inver se aspect ratio. In the case of large aspect ratio, a set of reduced magnet ohydrodynamic equations in toroidal geometry are obtained. The new assumpti on about the density is supported by experimental observation to some exten t.
