Abstract
The canonical formalism of N = 1 supergravity with the real Ashtekar variab les are considered. This canonical formalism is derived from that of the us ual N = 1 supergravity by performing the Barbero-type canonical transformat ion with a free parameter beta. We also introduce new variables to simplify the Dirac brackets of the canonical variables and give the canonical const raints in terms of these variables. We examine the canonical structure of t he theory.
