Variscan structures of the northeastern Armorican massif consist of folds i
nduced by south-verging thrust faults. This thin-skinned process is control
led by a major decollement that would be expected at the base of the Briove
rian flysch. So, the northeastern Armorican domain can be integrated to the
tectonic model admitted at the Variscan Orogenesis scale. (C) 2001 Academi
