Results of geochemical study of the Holocene soils on the floodplain of the
Dnieper River are presented. Spatial differences in the particle-size, min
eralogical, and chemical compositions and the content of microelements in a
lluvial soils along the valley are described. Special attention is paid to
age-induced differences in the chemical composition of pedorelic soils of t
he Early, Middle, and Late Holocene and the trend of geochemical evolution
in alluvial soils of the Holocene.
