Abstract
A method has been developed for the determination of Cd (II), Cu (II), Mn ( II), Ni (II), Pb (II) and Zn (II) in natural waters by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry after pre-concentration by solvent extr action with piperidine dithiocarbamate (pipDTC). The metals are complexed w ith pipDTC and the complexes extracted into isobutyl methyl ketone and subs equently back-extracted into nitric acid. Metals in nitric acid have been d etermined by aspirating into argon plasma of ICP-AES. The method has been a pplied for the determination of the tested metal ions in natural waters.
