Abstract
Evidences are presented for the structure of a new compound, 2 alpha, 19 al pha -dihydroxy-3-oxo-olean-12-en-28-oic acid-28-O-beta -D-glucopyranoside w hich occurs together with known substances beta -amyrin and friedelin in th e roots of Terminalia arjuna. Biological screening of the compound reveal a ntifungal activity.
