Preparation of a MIMIC internal control for the multiplex PCR for Listeriamonocytogenes detection

A mimic internal control for monitoring the efficiency of the multiplex PCR for Listeria monocytogenes detection was prepared by low-stringency PCR wi th Yersinia bercovieri DNA. The mimic internal control was sequenced. When added in the multiplex PCR, the mimic internal control was always amplified without affecting the detection limit of PCR. The simple method described can be used for the preparation of mimic internal controls for further PCR protocols detecting pathogens.
