Seven taxa of Agaricus (Agaricareae) collected in Nothofagus sps. and
Pinus radiata forests, lawns and grasslands of Valdivia (south of Chil
e) and its surroundings are reported and/or commented upon. Macrophoto
graphs of the morphological characters of some of them are added. Agar
icus wrightii is proposed as a new species and Agaricus crocodilinus c
onstitutes a new record for the Chilean mycological catalogue and, acc
ording to our data, also for South America.
