Abstract
The existence of La5CuPb3 and Ce5CuPb3 compounds has been confirmed. The cr ystal structure of Tm5CuPb3 was investigated using X-ray single crystal dif fraction. The crystal structures of R5CuPb3 (R=Y, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, E r, Tm and Lu) compounds were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction. The compounds crystallize with Hf5CuSn3 structure type (space group P6(3)/mem, Pearson symbol hP18). (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
