Abstract
The crystal structures of R(Ag,Pb)(3) (R=Y, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm) com pounds were investigated using X-ray powder diffraction. The compounds crys tallize with the AuCu3, structure type (space group Pm3m, Pearson symbol cP 4). Rare earth atoms occupy 1(a) positions and a mixture of the randomly di stributed Ag and Pb atoms occupy the 3(c) positions. (C) 2001 Elsevier Scie nce B.V. All rights reserved.
