Abstract
We report the case of a patient who underwent off-pump coronary surgery, wh ose postoperative (3 days) angiography showed the presence of a thrombus in the left internal mammary artery. The thrombus responded to an aggressive anticoagulant treatment, showing a perfect angiographic result 15 months la ter. According to our previous studies, we suggest that an adequate anticoa gulant treatment should be undertaken for patients undergoing off-pump coro nary surgery in the early postoperative period.
