Abstract
In this paper, we investigate formal asymptotic limits for a thermodynamica lly consistent solutal phase-field model based on Warren and Boettinger's m odel. Four different sharp-interface limits are obtained, two of which rema in valid when some of the constraints for thermodynamic consistency are rem oved from the original model.
