Abstract
Metal-alkylidyne complexes of the type W(=CC6H4X-4)(OBut)(3) (X = NMe2 , SMe), which are analogues of classic organic donor-acceptor compound s, form infinite-chain structures in the solid state through weak inte rmolecular dative bonds between the tungsten and donor atoms.
