Abstract
Cocrystallization of 1-methyluracil (Hmura) and trans-[PtCl4(NH3)(2)] yields an adduct of composition [PtCl4(NH3)(2).2 Hmura with two types of uracil quartets, one of which is relevant to that formed in tetrapl ex RNA.
