Abstract
Supported platinum metals are deactivated in the liquid phase hydrogen ation of 3-thiolene-1,1-dioxide. The sulfur resistance of Rh and Pd is by 1-2 orders of magnitude higher than that of Pt, Ir, Ru and Os. The metal resistance normalized to its surface area does not depend on it s dispersity and the nature of the support.
