Abstract
A simple, precise and accurate high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC ) method was developed for the simultaneous estimation of metformin with gl iclazide and glipizide present in multicomponent dosage forms. The method w as carried out on Inertsil(R) C-18 column. A mobile phase composed of aceto nitrile water containing camphor sulphonic acid (adjusted to pH 7 using 0.1 N sodium hydroxide: 75 mM) at a flow rate of 1 ml min(-1) was used for the separation. Detection was carried out at 225 nm. Tolbutamide was used as i nternal standard. Validation of the developed HPLC method was carried out. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
