Abstract
The 2-dimensional problem of acoustic wave scattering from a system of mult ilayered spherical anti cylindrical shells is formulated using the global m atrix method. This formulation is applicable to any system with an arbitrar y number and order of fluid and solid layers. As fur the analytical express ions for the pressures, stresses, and displacements in the layers, some non dimensional functions are defined with a consideration of the dimensions of the physical quantities. It will be seen that all of the possible boundary matrixes can then be easily expressed with the boundary values of the nond imensional Functions. the explicit expressions for the global matrix elemen ts are attached in appendices for some examples of single layered and doubl e-layered shell systems.
