Abstract
Background: Changes in sexual function ore commonly associated with MS and occur in many forms. Hypersexual thoughts or behavior ore rare, bur con pre sent on the background of persistent cognitive impairment or psychiatric co nditions such os mania, whereas isolated hypersexuality is still rarer. Cas e Report: We describe the clinical, neuropsychological, electrodiagnostic, neuroimaging and endocrine findings in a MS patient with episodes of greatl y increased libido. imaging and neuropsychological studies indicated fronta l lobe dysfunction; hormone studies showed no significant changes. Conclusi on: Episodic hypersexuality can be a recurrent transient manifestation of M S.
