A search for pair produced charged Higgs bosons was performed using the dat
a collected by the DELPHI detector at LEP II at centre-of-mass energies up
to 208 GeV. The three different final states, tau nu tau nu, c (s) over bar
tau nu and c (s) over bar(c) over bars were considered. No excess of data
compared to the expected Standard Model processes was observed and the exis
tence of a charged Higgs boson with mass lower than 75.0 GeV/c(2) has been
excluded at 95% confidence level.
