Abstract
Catalytic carbonylative alkyne-alkyne coupling proceeds using iridium-phosp hine complexes under carbon monoxide at atmospheric pressure or a partial p ressure of 0.2 atm. This reaction provides various cyclopentadienones in hi gh isolated yields.
